Mazzogran 100 mg is categorized under a class of drugs known as phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors. Mazzogran is a medication designed to enhance blood circulation, primarily used for addressing erectile dysfunction. When paired with sexual stimulation, Mazzogran can significantly boost erectile functionality.

This pharmaceutical aids in naturally achieving an erection, contingent on sexual arousal. Individuals without erectile dysfunction issues should abstain from using this medication. Erectile dysfunction is characterized by the inability to attain or maintain a penile erection necessary for engaging in sexual activity. This medication is not intended for usage by women.

Considerations for Mazzogran Use

For an accurate diagnosis of erectile dysfunction, understanding potential causes and determining the right treatment, your healthcare provider must be informed about all medications you’re currently taking and any existing health conditions.

Engaging in sexual activities can present certain risks, especially concerning heart health. Therefore, an assessment of your cardiovascular health by a healthcare professional is essential before commencing any treatment for erectile dysfunction.

Avoid using this medication under the following conditions:

  • If you exhibit an allergic reaction to sildenafil citrate, the active ingredient, or any other components within the medication.
  • If you are on medications such as nitroglycerin, isosorbide mononitrate, isosorbide dinitrate, and others used for treating cardiovascular ailments, due to the risk of severe blood pressure elevation.
  • If you are taking medications containing riociguat, used for treating pulmonary hypertension and blood clots.
  • If you suffer from Non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), a condition that could lead to vision loss or impairment.
  • If you have significant liver or heart conditions, or have recently experienced a stroke or heart attack, or have low blood pressure.
  • If you have a rare inherited eye disease like retinitis pigmentosa.

Exercise caution with this medication under the following circumstances:

  • It can lower blood pressure, so careful usage is advised.
  • If you have conditions like sickle cell anemia, leukemia, any form of bone marrow cancer, or any deformity of the penis.
  • If you have gastric issues.
  • The risk of retinal vein occlusion increases in elderly patients.
  • Concurrent usage with ritonavir, a medication for AIDS (HIV) treatment, is not recommended.

How to Use Mazzogran 100 mg Tablets

Mazzogran should be used exactly as directed by your healthcare provider. The standard dosage ranges from 50 mg to 100 mg, not to be exceeded more than once daily. Take Mazzogran about one hour before planned sexual activity. The tablet should be swallowed whole with water. This medication is not suitable for individuals under 18 years of age.

Side Effects of Mazzogran 100 mg Tablets
